Ukraine

Ukraine is a country located in Eastern Europe. It is the largest country entirely within Europe and is bordered by Belarus to the northwest, Russia to the northeast and east, Crimea to the south, the Black Sea to the southwest, and Moldova, Romania, and Hungary to the west. The capital and largest city is Kyiv. Ukraine has a rich history and diverse cultural heritage, with influences from various civilizations, including Slavic, Turkish, and Polish. The official language is Ukrainian, and the country is known for its agricultural output, particularly grains, as well as its industrial manufacturing. Ukraine achieved independence from the Soviet Union in 1991 and has since been navigating its identity and governance amid regional complexities and geopolitical tensions, particularly with Russia. The country is characterized by its vast landscapes, including plains, plateaus, and mountain ranges, notably the Carpathians.
