International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study of the interactions and relationships between sovereign states, as well as the various actors involved in global politics, including international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), multinational corporations, and transnational movements. It encompasses a wide range of issues such as conflict and cooperation, diplomacy, international law, security, trade, human rights, and environmental challenges. The field analyzes how states and other entities pursue their interests, the power dynamics at play in international affairs, and the impact of global systems and institutions on world events. IR draws on theories and methodologies from political science, history, economics, and sociology to understand the complexities of global interactions and to propose solutions to international problems.
